Seven St George, Paphos
Seven St George is a Paphos institution in an old stone house crammed with family antiques and run by friendly George and his sons, Damian and Ben. Everywhere in Cyprus offers meze, an array of 20 or more sharing dishes, from dips and salads through to pudding, but if you only indulge once, do it here.
The menu changes all the time, as everything is grown on the family farm, or foraged, or locally sourced, but expect a falling-off-the-bone lamb kleftiko and vegetarian dishes such as stuffed courgette flowers, tomato fritters, wild asparagus, cheese and vegetable pies, and okra in tomato and mint.
The red and white wine, again made locally washes down perfectly with each dish. We recommend a carafe of each to get started. Many a long night has been had here and always enjoyed!
