''Dear Steven, I‘d like to thank you, for your excellent support during booking and afterwards.

We enjoyed our stay at The Retreat Villa tremendously. The Villa is set in a beautiful Garden and offers everything you‘d wish for in a holiday. Even though we‘ve been there with two families, one could always find a place to sit quietly. Our children had a blast with the pool and games and we had many lovely hours at the BBQ.

Katrina, the owner, was ever so friendly and reacted on every wish or question immediately.
There is one smaller supermarket just down the road (5 min by car) and bigger ones in polis with everything you need.
We made a few trips, that were all nice (Boat-Trip to Blue Lagoon, Archeological Parc in Paphos...) but hands down best trip was to Avakas Gorge, where one can hike up a small riverbed with a following Lunch in Viklari Peyia Restaurant up on a hill with breathtaking views overlooking the sea und simple but very good food (booking highly recommended!).

Thanks again for the excellenct service - in my last 10 years of booking holiday homes, I have never had better service. ;-) Kind Regards, Elke

''The Retreat was “first class” accommodation, well equipped and beautifully maintained with an excellent swimming pool. It has everything you need for a fantastic holiday. The location was idyllic with marvellous 360 degree views and surrounded by well stocked fruit orchards. Very private and not overlooked. We enjoyed a number of fantastic meals at the Pantelis near Skoulli. The owner, Paul, was very friendly and welcoming and the meals were very reasonably priced. The service, as always, from LetsRentOnline.Com was excellent. Always prompt to reply to any queries you may have, making the booking process quick and easy. Many thanks to Steven and his team. The owners Katrina and Dimitris were extremely friendly and helpful and always on hand, should you need them, only a phone call away. We wouldn’t change a thing about “The Retreat” it’s PERFECT!! We will certainly be renting a villa in Cyprus next year, can’t wait. You are welcome to use any of our comments or remarks. Many thanks again Steven, we hope to do business with you again for our holiday in 2018. ''

''The property is beautiful, solid and well-maintained. It has something for everyone whatever the age.

Although it may seem that The Retreat is far from anything, it took us literally only 10 minutes by car to Polis & Latchi and about 40 minutes to Paphos. The beautiful thing about the villa location is the incredible peace and silence of the surroundings.

All the beaches along Latchi are great, some sandy, some rocky - plenty of choice. I took the kids for a short hike through the Akamas park, saw the Baths of Aphrodite and it is worth the the trail for the views. Also, Katerina, the owner, gave us a great address in Polis of a fishmonger - we barbecued freshly caught fish at home almost everyday at a fraction of restaurant prices - it is opposite the pharmacy on the Polis main road.

Also Byron's supermarket at the bottom of the road to the villa - really nice man, good place for basics, ice, charcoal, eggs, etc.

It was painless booking with letsrentonline.com. They were very straightforward, flexible, accommodating and swift to answer any queries. I liked the way they sent little updates before our holiday giving us discounts on various restaurants, car hire and watersports.

The owner we met, Katerina, was so helpful and friendly - came right over whenever we needed anything, brought us an extra air mattress for the kids, brought her son to help our kids set up the Xbox games...above the call of duty! She also has great advice on where to eat. Thank you again''

''Just a note to Thank you for helping with our holiday to Cyprus. It was the best villa we have ever visited in our many years of renting villas in many different countries. Here are our answers to your questions-

The property was amazing in every way. The location was so peaceful. A car is needed but worth it for the location. Top restaurants were 'Old Town Tavern' in Polis & Faros in Latchi. Service provided by Let's Rent Online was perfect from start to finish. Local manager/owner Katrina was always on hand whenever we needed her.

We don't think improvement with anything is needed as all was perfect. ''

''The property is perfect, well maintained, clean and homely. The location is absolutely ideal for us. I have not found a restaurant that was disappointing, we have always had great meals with very friendly welcomes. Very satisfied with your service, always friendly and efficient. ''

''Excellent villa. Had everything that you need and was spotlessly clean. Good quiet secluded location. I can honestly say that having booked several times with LetsRentOnline.com, you have always met and sometimes exceeded my expectations. I am always happy to recommend you.Having stayed at the retreat several times now - the owners have exceeded my expectations on several occasions. ''

''The villa itself was great. The location was nice. There were two restaurants that we would highly recommend: Archontariki and The Old Town. Both in Polis. Yes, the Service was also great like the property. THANK YOU!
The house was very clean and well maintained. The local manager was very solicitous, kind and helpful. ''

''We had a wonderful time at "The Retreat" from the 18th-25th October 2016 below is our replies to the questions you've asked. The villa was as described in the advert and far exceeded our expectations. The location was great with stunning views of the surrounding area to be seen, it was relaxing to sit outside with a drink in such a quiet and private setting. We visited many local eating establishments including the amazing Mousakallis in Polis and the Watermill café in Steni and also went on a great coach tour of the island with Gorgo tours from Paphos all of which we highly recommend to other visitors.

The service and correspondence provided by LetsRentOnline and Steven was good and prompt from the day we enquired through to the day we flew out, Steven was there to answer any of our questions and offer suggestions for everything from Transfers to Car Hire to Tours and eating establishments. The owners Katerina and Demitris were great and just a phone call away and they arrived promptly if we had any issues or concerns and made really welcome. Our only concern was the limited welcome pack, luckily we were offered the chance to stop at a bakery/food market on the way up from Paphos airport by the brilliant Andreas from Andy taxi, who we cannot praise enough, he was great throughout our stay and organised local taxis when we weren't driving ourselves that day, and gave us great support with his local knowledge and was very prompt with our transfers both ways, this man is a credit to his country. We certainly hope to return to Cyprus again and the "The Retreat" would be high on our list of potential accommodation.

We really hope our comments are useful to yourselves and hope you can use some of them on your website, we don't mind if you use our names on the site infact we hope you do! and wouldn't hesitate to rent from you again. Thanks again for a great holiday in your wonderful country and best wishes to Steven Gargaro and all the LetsRentOnline team. ''The property was fantastic! Great size indoors with decent sized bedrooms, two of which we had a travel cot in. The pool is great, perfect size, not too deep, our children absolutely loved it! The games and bbq area is again fantastic. Love that it is shaded so the kids can play there when the sun is at its warmest. The play park area is a great extra. All in all a fantastic place to be, especially for children as there is plenty to keep them occupied. My father who has extremely restricted mobility from a stroke he had a few years ago, was perfectly comfortable. We used the downstairs bedroom and toilet for him. I would advise that the villa is not wheelchair friendly as there is a step from the patio area to the front door, and a step from the pool area to get up to the bbq/games area, but I was able to lift the wheelchair up the step. It is perfectly suitable for those with restricted mobility or for those in a wheelchair who have someone able to help. Will definitely come back.

Nice, quiet, hillside location with no other properties overlooking. I would definitely recommend hiring a car (we did this with the recommended Economy car hire through GSP rentals which is a local company and received a free upgrade). The roads are rather steep in some places on your drive there. Paphos is around half an hour drive from the villa with the larger villages of Polis and Latchi, around a 10/15 minute drive. are beautiful places to visit, with plenty of restaurants and bars to visit. Latchi harbour is beautiful. The local supermarket which is about 2km from the villa has everything you could need.

We visited the Harbour Bar in Paphos down towards the harbour/castle, which was very good and is located beside the car park. There is also a large shopping mall in paphos. For those who enjoy sighseeing, Kykkos and Ayios Neophytos monasteries are beautiful. Trodos mountains, Coral Bay Beach, Tomb of the Kings, Latchi Harbour.

Yes, very satisfied with your service as agents. We had no issues with our stay, and were visited by the owner on our first and last day, but had all contact details should we need her. ''

Review submitted by Beverley from UK (Submitted: 06/06/2016)

''The villa exceeded expectations, the outside space in particular was fantastic. The villa was very well equipped, in fact the kitchen was the best equipped that I have found in any holiday villa, and I’ve stayed in quite a few. The property was spacious and gave us (4 adults, 2 children) plenty of opportunity to have our own space when needed. The children loved the jacuzzi bath and the jacuzzi shower in the master bedroom was also enjoyed. I would thoroughly recommend this villa for families and couples alike.

The location is wonderful if you want panoramic views of the countryside and to wake to the sound of songbirds and go to sleep with the sound of cicada’s. The villa is surrounded by fruit trees and depending on what time of year visited you could feast on strawberries, peaches, pomegranate, banana’s, oranges, lemons and more. The villa is a few minutes drive or a good uphill walk to Peristerona village which is a typical Cypriot village, definitely not a ‘tourist’ orientated village and a 10-15 minute drive to Polis where the nearest ‘big’ supermarket is located. The location is perfect for walking and experiencing Cyprus away from the mass tourism of the south coast.

I would recommend hiring a car and taking good walking boots and getting off the beaten track. The Adonis/Aphrodite trails are very well known and have excellent views but equally enjoyable and less travelled are walking routes around Theletra, Kathikas, Alekhtora and many other Cypriot villages. Sunflower Landscapes have an excellent book for Cyprus car tours and walks.

I have no complaints whatsoever about the service received from LetsRentOnline.Com. All communication was delivered in a timely manner and I felt confident that any queries I had would be answered by return. I would definitely recommend LetsRentOnline.Com to friends and family and would definitely use them again for future bookings.

We met the owner Katerina on our arrival. She was very pleasant and showed us around the villa and where the strawberries and other fruit was growing, encouraging us to pick them during our stay, something the children thoroughly enjoyed. She had left an excellent welcome pack for us, bread, cheese, ham, jam, water, wine to name just a few things. We had to call the owners when we encountered a problem with the jacuzzi bath and Dimitrius promptly arrived and resolved the problem, Katerina followed with a jar of excellent honey which her husband had collected from his hive. It was delicious. We were very satisfied with the service and communication. The service provided was excellent and I can think of nothing to improve it.

We had a great holiday. The villa was fantastic and we were very happy to return to Peristerona as we love that area. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we return again and we will definitely make LetsRentOnline our first port of call when looking for our next villa accommodation. ''

''The villa was just as we expected and advertised. The location was absolutely Perfect for what we wanted (peace and quiet). Thanks again for the ease of booking with you. ''

''Secluded villa, nice view on the suroundings, large pool and most important - everything was clean when we arrived at the property. The location was quiet, we loved the secluded place - and within a 5-10 minutes drive in Polis for shopping etc.

Highly recommended Watermill in Steni (we went there 3 time within 8 days - very friendly, good and lots of food/meal - prices very cheap). We felt very very comfortable with the owner (Lee was taking care of us on the first few days as the owner Katarina was not around) - both very friendly persons.

Cannot think about anything you could make better. It is not the first time we have rented a Villa through an agent, but we have to say - until now your services was the best of all we have experienced.''

''Hello Steven, We had a wonderful holiday in Cyprus at the retreat villa and would like to take this opportunity to thank yourselves and indeed the owners as everything ran very smoothly. Thank you also for the discount vouchers for next year in addition to the one for Latchi water sports which we took advantage of to go parasailing - a lovely experience!''

''The villa was fabulous. It was spotlessly clean (I am very fussy about that!) and beautifully presented. Amenities fantastic with everything we required. The location was absolutely ideal in that it was close to Polis and Latchi, with easy access to many beautiful places. The villa itself was easy to find, thanks to your instructions, and beautifully set high enough to see many lovely views.

Goodness, where do I start with recommendations of places to go? We had intended sampling different restaurants, however, having eaten a number of times with the family last year when we were there, we visited Molos in Latchi at the start of the holiday. Our friends, who were with us this year had been keen to sample other places too, however having eaten at Molos, we were all happy to go there every night!! So can highly recommend Molos which looks on to the harbour in Latchi.

Places to visit - Petra Tou Romiou, Kourion, Omodos, Kykkos Monastery, Mosaics in Paphos, Pomos with its lovely harbour, Lara Bay, although the road to it definitely needs a 4X4, and definitely the barbeque sail to the Blue Lagoon - a smaller boat than the glass bottom ones but much more intimate and the food and indeed wine fantastic. We shopped mainly for food in Polis at Papantoniou. Has everything we needed.

Very satisfied with the service you have provided which was brilliant. Thank you so much. Owner communication superb. Had one wee problem with the aircon, and Katrina was there within 5 minutes!! She was unable to fix it but her husband was called and he arrived, again within 5 minutes as they live nearby. Brilliant service.

Everything has been made very easy for us from every inspanidual involved in the whole process, so I must say that I cannot think of anything to improve such a professional and thoughtful service. Thank you for that.
We had a great holiday, a great part of which was due to you, Steven, and "Let's Rent Online". A fantastic service with amazing communication. I will recommend you to our friends. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to comment on our experience a do hope other people will benefit from your service too. Many thanks again. ''We loved this villa. Is just as described from the website. The downstairs area is spacious. The Kitchen fully equipped, with a drinking water tap which isn't mentioned on the website which was great. The TV, after help from Demitri had quite a lot of channels . We mainly used just the BBC news channel but you can get many more. Signal was intermittent but it was ok. Wi Fi great to keep up with home, business etc. Katerina called by and she was very helpful-both lovely owners. Fly screens were a bonus as most nights were just too hot and we found these most useful. Loved the loan of beach towels which were a great size and very soft. Have had flimsy towels from villas in the past but these were lovely. Infact all the towels, sheets etc were of excellent quality. The pool a fantastic size and very clean. Used the table tennis most days. We didn't use the BBQ but all utensils etc were there and everything perfectly clean. Couldn't fault this villa at all.

The location is beautiful. Secluded, peaceful and we just loved the tranquility of the place. Lovely views over countryside. The weather helped as the sun shined every day we were there and was very hot, just as we like it. We ate at Finakas, Moustakallis and Chix Chox in Polis. Lovely food at each of them. We had many drinks at a little bar just as you entered the 'main street'. Lovely owners who made us very welcome. Spent a couple of evenings at Mikes Coffee shop in Lysos, which is a quaint little village and also ate at Paradisos Hills Hotel for a couple of Lunches which was also nice. The Watermill at Steni was also a great little restaurant for drinks and food. South African owners who were a lovely family.

Steven at Lets rent Online helped us with choosing the villas and everything regarding the booking process went smoothly. All my emails were answered promptly and we would certainly book with Lets rent online again. A perfect villa in a perfect location. Will definitely return''.

''Thank you for a wonderful holiday and for arranging our visit to Villa Lee, along with all your help and communication throughout the holiday booking process. Excellent standard it had all the facilities required. It was exceptionally clean and very spacious. Good location for supermarket and two local villages. An easy drive to the main town of Polis. Very secluded villa. The local museum in Steni village was interesting. Very satisfied with all service. Exceeded my expectations. We have been visiting Cyprus for over 10 years now and the Retreat is by far the best Villa we have stayed in.

I would also like to say that we visited villa Lee (arranged by yourselves) this villa was also of an exceptional standard. We met the owners of both the Retreat and Villa Lee and found them to be very accommodating, helpful and friendly. Both villas were spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend both villas and lets rent online. Once again many thanks and we are hoping to return next year.'' Tina

"Hi, The villa was spacious and well maintained and located in a superb rural setting. There were local grocery shops a couple of minutes drive from the villa and larger shops in Polis which is around a fifteen minute drive. In Polis there were also plenty of restaurants to choose from. If you have a car I would say that the whole of Cyprus is pretty much a sightseeing trip though I would especially recommend a trip to the mountains and along coast of the Akamas Peninsula. The service provided by LetsRentOnline.Com was faultless as was that provided by the owner. In Britain we have a saying 'If it isn't broken, don't try and fix it', and bearing that in mind I would have to say that I have no suggestions of how to improve the service. We would love to visit Cyprus again and if we did so we would definitely want to stay in one of your villas. You may use my name and comments if you wish. I would just like to add that throughout the whole process of booking the villa we were made to feel confident and well informed by yourselves. Thank you very much. Steve and Family.''

The Location is also very well, not within walking distance to the village or shops. But not too far by car. Latchi Watersport for renting a speedboat, wonderful experience. Paradisos Hill Hotel for a Sunday Lunch really worth it, great food. No complaints, everything very clear. Communications via the email and chat very helpful and easy. Katrina & Dimitri were very kind and helpful.''

We like quiet and out of the way so it suited us perfectly, there is everything you need in Polis which is only a 10 min drive and if you want more it's too far to Paphos. There are some lovely restaurants and tavernas in Polis, try Finikas, Moustakallas and Chix Chos, all very good and the staff are very attentive. There are plenty in Latsi too but they are slightly more expensive. Take a drive up the Troodos mountains, the views are spectacular. The service provided by Letsrentonline.com was as usual very good!''

"Arrived fairly late and tired, once we had managed to sort our hire car at the airport and rush to a supermarket to buy some essentials. What a lovely villa The Retreat is. The Villa was immaculate and there was a welcome pack of food including bread, spread, cheese, ham, milk, water, coffee, tea and sugar. There was also a huge bowl of fruit and some much-appreciated wine. On seeing the villa in the daylight the following day we were not disappointed, the views were stunning and the sunbathing area and swimming pool were just as shown on all the websites. When there was a problem with the TV not working and the safe being locked, Katherina and Dimitri couldn't have been more helpful and came out straight away to sort out any problem. The villages of Polis and Latchi are very close and the beach at Polis was very quiet with a cafe and toilets. Latchi seems to be an up and coming village/town and the harbour area is lovely - when you find it! Great meal in Faros, Latchi - look out for the waiter with the unusual accent and try to work out where he is from! Agios Georgios is pretty for a visit and a quiet sit on the harbour. Would advise you avoid the mountain roads unless you are very brave and certainly if it is dark - what a scary experience that was, dirt tracks (with occasional road signs) on the road out of Pomos! We had lovely weather too with cloud on only one day and it was the end of October. Would thoroughly recommend The Retreat as a break away from it all. Many thanks to the owners for this lovely villa and ensuring we had a restful holiday''.

Patrick and Nicki ''

We didn’t go out much to be honest, but can thoroughly recommend Latchi Watersports – very helpful and easy to deal with. We were completely satisfied with all service received.

Please free to use our comments although I would prefer to remain anonymous if you don't mind''

In fact all the towels, sheets etc were of excellent quality.

We had many drinks at a little bar just as you entered

Peristerona

Peristerona is a traditional mountain village in Paphos District, Cyprus. It's a picturesque village famous for its efforts to maintain the beauty and the traditions of Cyprus. Peristerona is primarily an agricultural village producing cereals, olives and almonds with its wonderful climate producing many delightful fruits and vegetables such as cherries, avocado, mango, watermelons, apples, lemons and oranges in abundance. The name Peristerona derives from the Greek word for dove or pigeon (peristeri). The church, St. Barnabas and Hilarion Church, has five domes on the roof arranged in the shape of a cross, a feature only seen on one other church in the island. Peristerona is always a very green village due to the lush vegetation. It all looks particularly special in winter and spring months and is ideal for photographers, artists and those who like to walk and even hike.In various locations around Peristerona there are many remarkable landmark churches. Ayios Georgios was built in the 13th century where frescoes of Saint Mama can be found and it’s still protected by the antiquities department. Churches such as Panayia Chryselousa constructed at the end of the 15th century with Byzantine and Gothic elements, Profitis Elias, Ayios Constantinos, Ayios Charalambos and the country church of Archangel Michael provide for a unique perspective of the village’s history.

The famous museum of Arsinoe displays an attractive collection of objects from the Byzantine period, including Byzantine icons from the 13th to 19th centuries, as well as wood carved ecclesiastical items, local and imported silver and metal artefacts as well as textiles. Rare books and manuscripts are also on display.Peristerona is situated between the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea and the spectacular mountains of Paphos Forest and the Troodos. Walking in the forests is a delight. Filled with pine trees, fruit and olive trees, wild flowers and herbs and vineyards the air is scented and the views spectacular. The nearby village of Steni (also steeped in tradition) hosts a coffee shop with wireless internet access and a very good traditional taverna.Travel a little further into the hills and you will find Lysos, which has a very good horse riding school and shooting range and is also home to a very good traditional Cyprus taverna, with neighbouring shops and the more widely known Paradisos Hills Hotel which does an excellent Sunday buffet as well as a themed Indian night on a Friday.

Heading back towards the coastline and you will find the small town of Polis. There is plenty of activity to choose from in Polis, whether you wish to dine in one of the many good quality restaurants, have a coffee or lunch in the central square, hire mountain bikes, quad bikes or maybe even a boat! The nearby Latchi beach is renowned as one of the best in Cyprus and not as crowded as the beaches in and around Paphos itself. Latchi beach is famous for its clear blue sea, soft white sand and a great selection of watersports which are readily available. The watersports available at Latchi include diving, snorkelling, sailing, banana rides and a great deal more. Bring your UK driving licence and you can even hire a boat and explore the Akamas coast from the sea. Drop anchor when you feel like it and swim or snorkel in the warm crystal blue water of the Mediterranean Sea.

For the more adventurous, you can explore the Akamas nature reserve and go all the way round to Lara Beach famous for its turtles and another wonderful unspoilt beach. You can also venture to the nearby villages of Miliou, Droushia and Panagia or further on to Kathikas with its vineyards and wineries. Other fantastic scenery can be taken in at Cedar Valley and the Troodos mountain range where in winter, you can even ski! Paphos airport is 40 minutes away by very good quality roads with English road signs. Visit Peristerona (for a taste of the real Cyprus) and you won’t be disappointed.
