Aphrodite Hills

Aphrodite Hills offers the first truly integrated resort experience in Cyprus with a championship standard golf course, tennis academy, village square with shops, restaurants and bars and independently managed spa facility.

The Hills

With a bright sun and hot temperatures, there is no better time to experience the newly opened Zias Beach Club. The Club is located within a few minutes drive from the resort and a complimentary shuttle is available to transfer guests in both directions at frequent intervals. The sandy, child-friendly beach offers luxury bar and restaurant facilities and service, as well as complimentary towels, sunbeds and umbrellas.

* There is also a horse riding club which caters for all ages and abilities and can be booked directly at reasonable rates.

Aphrodite Hills Village Square

The beautiful Village Square is the focal point of daily life at Aphrodite Hills. Its a charming place to visit the shops, enjoy one of the bars or restaurants for a lazy coffee or an equally lazy lunch or dinner. Designed to reflect the unhurried atmosphere of a traditional Cypriot village and built from locally quarried stone, it stands at the heart of the resort overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The Village Square has a real community ambience with a great choice of shops and restaurants, a wedding chapel and open spaces that invite you to relax and watch the world go by in true Mediterranean style.

The Village Square offers a great selection of restaurants, bars and popular beer garden. As well as the many dining options, the Village Square offers all amenities guests could want or need, including a bank, medical centre, supermarket, flower shop, travel agency, electronics shop, gallery shop, optician and luxury fashion and jewellery boutiques. In addition to offering the best shops and restaurants, the spacious open-air area acts as the focal point for events such as traditional bazaars and other festivities.* You can also hire segway’s, tandems and bikes very easily here.

Golf

Crowning Aphrodite Hills Resort’s outstanding leisure facilities is the magnificent 18-hole golf course, designed by acclaimed course architect, Cabell B. Robinson. Five years in the making, it follows the scenic contours of the two plateauxs, its challenging fairways cutting a swathe through lakes, olive and carob trees.

No wonder the golf course has taken its rightful place among the very best the Mediterranean can offer and played host to high level professional events in recent times also. No matter how many times you play the course, there’s always a new challenge. Not least the skill needed to conquer the dramatic holes that run alongside or traverse the dramatic central ravine. Celebrate your success in the sophisticated Clubhouse, overlooking the 18th green and the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean below. In the restaurant you can savour delectable Cypriot specialties, international cuisine and an extensive wine list, or just enjoy the breathtaking view from the terraces. A premier Golf Academy, practice holes and pro-shop enhance your golf experience.

Tennis

Tennis enthusiasts will love the facilities at the Aphrodite Hills Resort. An ideal location for outdoor sports with its year round temperate climate, Annabel Croft’s Aphrodite Hills tennis club boasts fabulous views over the sea as well as Olympic class facilities. Just Outside the Resort:

Pissouri Village:

About 3 miles along the coast road (or motorway). Pissouri is a wonderful Cypriot village with a town square; old men playing backgammon and just watching the world go by. In fact, it’s a great place for you to do that too. During the summer months there are lots of activities in the village – even a Cyprus night every Wednesday which ex-pat residents and local Greek Cypriots all attend! There are many bars (including a couple of new wine bars) and excellent restaurants. Also village shops including a butcher, baker, gift shop and a bank. There is a large Papantoniou supermarket giving variety from the one in the village square and also…

Pissouri Beach:

Pissouri is the nearest ‘tourist’ beach but it is still quiet. And you can drive right up to the beach at the eastern end. There are sunbeds and umbrellas (all payable); parascending; jetskis – in fact, everything you would expect to find at a beach resort. There are a number of bars and restaurants.

Kouklia:

Kouklia is also famous as the historical capital of Cyprus – known as “Palaipafos” (Old Paphos) – it was one of the most important ancient kingdoms of Cyprus. The entire area of Kouklia is an important archaeological region. Excavations have found the famous temple of “Aphrodite of Paphos” (Pafia Aphrodite), the remains of the fortifications of Palaipafos, and various other treasures that are found in Kouklia’s Archaeological Museum. Kouklia has a vibrant village square with good choice of tavernas and watering holes. There is also local shops there.

Beaches:

Other local beaches can easily be reached at Petra Tou Romiou, Avdimou and Geroskipou in one direction and Coral Bay and Lara in the other.
