Diving in Cyprus
Diving around Cyprus is reckoned to be amongst the best in the world
Diving in Cyprus
Cyprus is reckoned to be one the best places in the world for diving. The combination of clear, warm waters with abundant and exotic fish life makes diving in Cyprus an activity not to be missed.
Wrecks you can dive to
There are also a number of famous wrecks you can dive to. Perhaps the most famous in the ‘Zenobia’. Lying at depths from 18 to 42 metres , the Zenobia is an exceptional wreck dive. It ranks as one of the top 10 wreck dives in the world and one of the top 25 dive sites anywhere.
The Zenobia is a roll-on roll-off ferry built in 1979 that sank on its maiden voyage on 7 June 1980 carrying 104 lorries all loaded with cargo.
International PADI recognition
There are many diving centres in Paphos, Coral Bay, Polis and Latsi that will either teach complete beginners or hire equipment to experienced divers. Almost all are PADI approved so you can be confident the skills you learn in Cyprus can be used throughout the world.
