Flights to Cyprus

Cyprus is very easy to reach from the UK and Ireland with an average flight time of around four and a half hours.

Airports in Cyprus

When booking or looking for a flight to Cyprus, you can fly in to two airports. The first is Paphos International which is approximately 15 minutes drive from Paphos itself and Larnaca International which is around 90 minutes away by car. The drive from Larnaca is very easy along a scenic and quiet highway.

You can fly to Cyprus from many UK airports

The main airports you will be offered when booking a flight to Cyprus from the UK will be London Gatwick and Manchester though many charter flights operate from other major UK airports such as Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, NewCastle, Leeds/Bradford, East Midlands, Birmingham, Bristol, Luton, Stansted and a few others especially from 1st May onwards.

Flights to Cyprus have never been easier to book, especially with the introduction of budget airlines such as EasyJet (www.easyjet.com) who fly into Paphos up to three times a day in the Summer from Manchester and Gatwick, Jet2 (www.jet2.com) who fly from Leeds/Bradford, Monarch Airlines (www.flymonarch.com) who go from Luton to Larnaka and FlyGlobespan (www.flyglobespan.com) (no longer operating as of 15th December 2009) who serve the Scottish market from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

There is more than a flight to Cyprus every day in the Summer but you will find that Wednesdays and Sundays have the most availability. Because of this, villa owners sometimes set changeover days for these days though this will slowly change with the introduction of some of the aforementioned budget airlines who fly at different days and times.

If booking late, try ThomsonFly (www.thomsonfly.com) who sometimes greatly reduce their prices.

Probably the best thing to do when looking for a flight to Cyprus is to search the large travel portals such as www.travelsupermarket.com. They will quickly narrow down all the best prices from both charter and scheduled airlines for the dates you request. Travel Republic, Charter Flights and Skyscanner are all good sites to search through also.

Please bear in mind school holiday times when booking a flight to Cyprus. Demand and prices are likely to be higher at Easter, Summer Holidays and October week. If you have children and wish a flight to Cyprus it is best to book early, sometimes almost a year in advance if you can.

Rent Villas Paphos can arrange transfers to meet your flight

Don't worry about the arrival times when booking your flight to Cyprus as Rent Villas Paphos can arrange luxury and competitively priced taxi transfers at any time (24 hours) and either have a representative meet you or allow access by keysafe which is arranged prior to arrival. If collecting a car from the airport, most car hire companies will either have a 24 hour desk, charge a small fee for someone to meet you or let you know where car will be and keys hidden.

All in all a flight to Cyprus is easy to book, doesn't take too long and transfers at the other end are in the main short and straightforward.
