"The villa was very clean and had everything we needed. The location nice and quiet and secluded, but still close to all amenities and beaches. Nothing really stuck out - it was all so lovely! We were very satisfied with the whole service, yes - an amazing hostess, Anna made sure you were always comfortable and any problems dealt with quickly (we had a blackout - the local area, but she still came to check everything was ok!)" |

"We had a wonderful holiday. The property was beautiful and in a fantastic setting. The owners left us with basic supplies in the fridge and then when they popped round they presented us with ice-cream and a bottle of wine. They were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was amazing - totally private and spacious yet within easy reach of Latchi and Polis. We would definitely aim to stay there again the next time we visit Cyprus. Thank you very much for all your help and organisation. Regards. The Montgomery Family" |

"The property was exceptionally clean and in a beautiful location. Trees and an afternoon breeze meant that the pool and house were cool and comfortable. This would be a perfect spot for young children as the property and grounds were carefully equipped - an enclosed outside, play area, pool - shady and exceptionally warm in the afternoons, inside the house, there are gates to ensure that there are safe areas for small toddlers. Myself and my partner holiday with my 2 grown up children, so we look for comfortable accomodation for adults (rather than bedrooms suitable for small children). We all had double beds, our own bathrooms, living room area was able to seat 4 adults comfortably, there was loads of room around the pool, and even a shady seating area in the trees in the grounds - perfect for avoidance of any family squabbles!! We are very fond of remote, rural environments. The villa was set, just outside a small village and in a large orange grove. From each window, there are views of Cyprus hills or trees. For eating and shopping, we travelled into the nearby town of Polis. This is easily accessible - 5 - 10 mins drive. Polis is an unspoilt, quiet town, with 2 excellent supermarkets. The paved, central area has some restaurants and a few small gift shops. If you're looking for noisy and touristy, then this is not the place. 5 minutes out of Polis, there are some beaches at Latchi, a harbour, restaurants on the beach and some more usual touristy, gift shops. We think that the best beaches are further to the east of Polis - but they are empty of everything - with the odd bar over the road. You park your car on the wasteland (not in posh parking areas), then step down onto a deserted beach - pick your spot. Swimming in the afternoon is divine - as warm as a bath with a few waves for entertainment - along with a view of the sunset over the Akamas mountains. If you want people, sunbeds, cafes, shops, watersports - go to Latchi - still very beautiful - take your pick. Lets Rent Online's Service was excellent. We failed to find the villa, although we are used to making our way to very remote spots, in the dark, in unfamiliar hire cars. In daylight hours, we still thought it was quite difficult to find (and not just down to our day starting at 2.30am - and hunting for the property in the early hours of the next day). Perhaps a small sign, with the villa's name on, at the turn into the orange grove - it was just a forest track. However, this is not, in any way a complaint or criticism, as we entered the village by the wrong entrance, and hence were disorientated. We cannot praise the owners, highly enough. We rang the only contact we had (which turned out to be the owners themselves) in the early hours, as we were then thinking of a sleep in the car!! They came straight away, and took us to the villa. They were very keen to make everything as nice as possible, but at the same time were very respectful of our privacy - a text with a request to call to clean, a text with information about local medical care for tonsillitus. Each time they brought cakes or ice cream. Very lovely people.

| THE LOCAL AREA |
'Georgios Rafaela Villa', Goudi near Polis, Paphos District, Cyprus Distances: Latchi Beach, Sea: 7km to Latchi Shops: 2km The Local Area
Situated on the banks of the Chrysochou River, Goudi is a peaceful Cypriot village near Polis in Paphos District, Cyprus. Providing an ideal location to explore the beauty of the surrounding area, Goudi is a picturesque village famous for its stone built villas and efforts to maintain the beauty and the traditions of Cyprus.
Goudi is situated between the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea and the spectacular mountains of Paphos Forest and the Troodos. Walking in the forests is a delight. Filled with pine trees, fruit and olive trees, wild flowers and herbs and vineyards the air is scented and the views spectacular.
Both Peristerona and ‘Steni' village centres are just 1-2km away from ‘Georgios Rafaela Villa’ and where you will find a taste of the ‘real Cyprus'. With their mini-markets selling fresh organic produce, coffee shops and restaurants/tavernas as well as the friendly locals, you won't have to travel far to get the most out of your holiday.
In various locations around Peristerona there are many remarkable landmark churches. Ayios Georgios was built in the 13th century where frescoes of Saint Mama can be found and it’s still protected by the antiquities department. Churches such as Panayia Chryselousa constructed at the end of the 15th century with Byzantine and Gothic elements, Profitis Elias, Ayios Constantinos, Ayios Charalambos and the country church of Archangel Michael provide for a unique perspective of the village’s history. The famous ‘Museum of Arsinoe’ displays an attractive collection of objects from the Byzantine period, including Byzantine icons from the 13th to 19th centuries, as well as wood carved ecclesiastical items, local and imported silver and metal artefacts as well as textiles. Rare books and manuscripts are also on display.
The nearby village of Steni (also steeped in tradition) hosts a coffee shop with wireless internet access and a very good traditional taverna. Travel a little further into the hills and you will find Lysos, which has a very good horse riding school and shooting range (please ask for details) and is also home to a very good traditional Cyprus taverna, with neighbouring shops and the more widely known Paradisos Hills Hotel which does an excellent Sunday buffet as well as a themed Indian night on a Friday.
The nearby Latchi beach is renowned as one of the best in Cyprus and not as crowded as the beaches in and around Paphos itself. Latchi beach is famous for its clear blue sea, soft white sand and a great selection of watersports which are readily available. The watersports available at Latchi include diving, snorkelling, sailing, banana rides and a great deal more. Bring your UK driving licence and you can even hire a boat and explore the Akamas coast from the sea. Drop anchor when you feel like it and swim or snorkel in the warm crystal blue water of the Mediterranean Sea.
For the more adventurous, you can explore the Akamas nature reserve and go all the way round to Lara Beach famous for its turtles and another wonderful unspoilt beach. You can also venture to the nearby villages of Miliou, Droushia and Panagia or further on to Kathikas with its vineyards and wineries. Other fantastic scenery can be taken in at Cedar Valley and the Troodos mountain range where in winter, you can even ski!
