''We did have a great time in Cyprus, here is some feedback on the booking. The villa was very good both inside and out. The location (Beautiful setting) was fine for us,around 25 - 30 minute drive to beaches and larger supermarkets. Recommend all that was in the Profitis Elias Villa information book plus No 9 Latchi beach restaurant a must visit. Very satisfied with the service, straightforward and easy booking. We only needed to contact the manger once regarding air con and it was all sorted quickly, ( This was us not knowing how to work the units, there was no fault with them).''

''The Villa was great, exactly as described on the website, and the quality was excellent. The location is remote, but this was not a surprise and exactly what we wanted. Mike’s Coffee Shop in the local village was excellent, great friendly service. Superb communication throughout from you as agents. Locally, John and family were excellent, always on hand and very friendly. Nothing could be improved!''

''The villa was excellent. The location suited us and the views of the hills were restful. The Paradisos Hills Hotel served us some great meals. Great personal attention. We had most of our main meals at various resteraunts throughout the two weeks and they were all extremely good. I was satisfied with Lets Rent On Line.Com, and all arrangements went smoothly. Local Managers/Owners were extremely kind and helpful during our stay. (Have to single out Helen our cleaner, she has a very pleasant and likeable personality. Very valuable asset for a company to client representative) Nitsa and John were very kind and brought us gifts of eggs and figs on a couple of occasions. The property and service were fine and the hire charge was fair''.

''Thanks for dealing with all the admin and booking the villa. We have been home less than 24 hours and it seems like a lifetime away. We have had a fabulous time at the villa and are already thinking about where to go next year. The villa was clean and tidy, very well presented. Well equipped and spacious. The location is Very remote and out of the way. The views were stunning. Mike’s coffee shop in Lysos was most local shop/taverna but highly recommended for milkshakes and the kids loved the parrot. Mike is very friendly too. Watermill restaurant on way to Polis was very good value and food was excellent. Need to go to Polis for supermarket. Latchi was great for seaside restaurants. Highly commended agent service and very satisfied with owners locally also.''

"This is a truly beautiful villa, with first class facilities, in an idyllic setting. Relaxing by the pool, taking in the amazing mountain view, was wonderful. Myself, husband and 2 young children had an amazing time. The villa really is a home from home with high quality facilities and the air conditioning in the bedrooms was a blessing. We were welcomed at the Paradissos Hills Hotel (just across the road) for lunch and evening meals whenever we fancied a meal we didnt have to cook ourselves - the food was lovely and the setting, again, ideal. We were greeted on arrival at the villa (and looked after all week) by the property managers. We were made to feel extremely welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would recommend this villa 100% and wouldnt hesitate to return there. In Summary, the only problem with our stay was that it had to end!!"

"The villa was fantastic, very clean with a good welcome pack to get us going. In fact the the only thing it was missing was some plastic cups/glasses etc. for use outside. The location was stunning with breathtaking views of the mountains and the sea. The Paradisos Hills Hotel was in an incredible location with wonderful views of the sea. The buffet nights were good value for money and the food was excellent. The owners were all very helpful and welcoming. The Baths of Aphrodite were a perfect place for snorkeling and the beach quiet which was great. What can I say? You were brilliant! The communication was very professional and efficient, you were able to answer any queries quickly and the directions to the villa and supermarket that you provided were excellent. Nitsa and John were extremely welcoming and took time to show us around. They were always around if we needed them but without being intrusive and they gave us fresh fruit from their garden which was very kind and a lovely gesture which was very much appreciated.''

"Perfect. Beautiful villa, spotlessly clean, a perfect home from home. A little more remote from a local shop than we thought, but this didn’t worry us as we were looking for somewhere away from the crowds*. The Paradisos Hills Hotel is a god send, wonderful food, and great friendly staff. Perfect if you arrive late and want something to eat and drink. Very satisfied with your service, from the moment of booking, we felt we were kept informed and valued as a customer. The “how to get to the villa” instructions were perfect, we didn’t get lost once!! Nitsa and John were perfect hosts, welcoming when we arrived but not intrusive. We always felt they were just a phone call away and were more than happy to help with any questions we had.''

*Agent Note*- There is a small shop open daily in Lysos and the supermarket in Peristerona has been refurbished and taken on by new owners. We still recommend larger supermarkets in Polis for larger shops and stocking up.

We recommend Finikas restaurant, Polis & Archontariki Restaurant Polis. We were also very happy with your service, loved the almost instant conformation of booking then the e mail. Nitsa the owner was so friendly and helpful. We will want to book again for next summer."

"When I arrived at the Property There was a warm and friendly greeting awaiting us and to have somebody show you around was very helpful, added to this was small touches such as a bowl of fruit and some welcoming items such as milk and bread. These simple touches were the difference between a good holiday and a great holiday! I would strongly recommend whoever I speak to that this villa has the most important details such as cleanliness, comfortable environment and personal touches."

"We could not have asked for a better villa and holiday. The villa was furnished to a very high standrad to give all home comforts within an authentic setting. having the culinary delights of the hotel just across the road was perfect. We explored the west side of the island inclusing Polis, Lathci, The Akamas and Paphos easily and would love to return again one day."

"Well another wonderful holiday, the villa was fantastic, Holly loved the pool, we couldn’t keep her out of it!! Nitsa and her family were lovely they couldn’t have done anymore to help us, I was even supplied with nappies instead of buying more when we nearly ran out and they even gave us fresh grapes from their land! I would highly recommend this villa and we hope to be back next year, I will also add that the food and hospitality at the Paradisos Hills Hotel across the road was a real treat, well worth a visit. Many thanks

Lysos is a traditional mountain village in Paphos District, Cyprus. It's a picturesque mountain village famous for its efforts to maintain the beauty and the traditions of Cyprus. At just under 500 metres above sea level the summers are a few degrees cooler than the fierce summer temperatures in the coastal towns, the air is less humid and there's usually a gentle mountain breeze. In various locations around Lysos there are many remarkable landmark churches. Ayios Georgios was built in the 13th century where frescoes of Saint Mama can be found and its still protected by the antiquities department. Churches such as Panayia Chryselousa constructed at the end of the 15th century with Byzantine and Gothic elements, Profitis Elias, Ayios Constantinos, Ayios Charalambos and the country church of Archangel Michael provide for a unique perspective of the village history. With an abundance of natural water Lysos was used in Cyprus as an industrial area for the melting of metals. The fountain located by the church and built in the 1900's was made entirely of stone including the five taps of which were used to supply fresh drinking water. Lysos is situated between the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea and the spectacular mountains of Paphos Forest and the Troodos. Walking in the forests is a delight. Filled with pine trees, fruit and olive trees, wild flowers and herbs and vineyards the air is scented and the views spectacular.

Lysos is home to a very good traditional Cyprus taverna, with neighbouring shops and the more widely known Paradisos Hills Hotel (50m away from Villa Georgios). The Paradisos Hills Hotel is a small intimate hotel with only 15 rooms and a restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner serving only the finest traditional Cyprus and International cuisine. Most of the food is locally sourced and much of it is organic and the Sunday buffet lunches are now known throughout Cyprus. The Paradisos Hills Hotel also has international evenings where guests and regular customers can experience something different and test the full range of its gastronomic skills. Travel a little way passing the pretty village of Peristerona and you reach the small town of Polis. There is plenty of activity to choose from in Polis, whether you wish to dine in one of the many good quality restaurants, have a coffee or lunch in the central square, hire mountain bikes, quad bikes or maybe even a boat! The nearby Latchi beach is renowned as one of the best in Cyprus and not as crowded as the beaches in and around Paphos itself. Latchi beach is famous for its clear blue sea, soft white sand and a great selection of watersports which are readily available. The watersports available at Latchi include diving, snorkelling, sailing, banana rides and a great deal more. Bring your UK driving licence and you can even hire a boat and explore the Akamas coast from the sea. Drop anchor when you feel like it and swim or snorkel in the warm crystal blue water of the Mediterranean Sea.

Don't fancy being the captain? Take a boat ride to the 'Blue Lagoon', swim or snorkel in the sea, then come back to the pretty harbour at Latchi to eat. Try the famous 'Fish Meze' where you'll be served around 20 dishes including some of the freshest catches of the day whilst watching the world go by. The harbour at Latchi is perfect to while away some time people watching.

Some of the best horse riding in Cyprus is also on the doorstep in Lysos. Further info here: Horse Riding in Cyprus

Clay Pigeon Shooting is also now available in Lysos and represents great value for money. The owner is more than happy to take people there and get them started. Please ask for further details. For the more adventurous, you can explore the Akamas nature reserve and go all the way round to Lara Beach famous for its turtles and wonderful beach. You can also venture to the nearby villages of Miliou, Droushia and Panagia or further on to Kathikas with its vineyards and wineries.Other fantastic scenery can be taken in at Cedar Valley and the Troodos mountain range where in Winter, you can even ski! If you want to experience unspoilt Cyprus, Lysos is a great place to stay, all just a very manageable drive from Paphos Airport.
