Covid 19- Corona Virus Crisis

Traveller Information– (Latest Update- 27-05-2020- 18.30hrs)

First published 18th March 2020

Due to the high volume of contact about this subject we are posting our current policies in regards affected bookings by the Covid 19 virus. We apologise for any delays in personalised email responses at this time.

The situation is obviously still fluid and we understand completely the need to know about your booking going forward. We are closely monitoring the evolving situation and following official announcements from the relevant authorities.

Cyprus has been successful in containing the virus as much as possible with fewer cases than many countries. Research will show the low number of cases continues due to contact tracing and testing. Cyprus has been exiting lockdown in stages starting from 4th May with relative normality programmed by Mid-June. Citizens have had freedom of movement since 21st May and Beaches re-open 23rd May. The airports are opening to visitors from 9th June with categories of visitors permitted to travel depending on epidemiological data from their home countries. The second stage is from 20th June and the situation will be continually reviewed from there. Further announcements will be made in the coming week.

Hotels and Tourist Accommodation are permitted to open from 1st June 2020

We are now prioritising and handling bookings in different categories just now with the arrivals up to 9th June being the most urgent

Those due to pay balances for stays in July and beyond (please see advice below).

Summer arrivals : We suggest seeing how the situation develops in the coming days and weeks. That should give everyone time to assess options and follow clearer directives. (further information below). Airlines and Governments are in charge of inevitable possibilities

Our terms and conditions (see link below) are in line with those agreed to at time of booking and our contracts with the villa owners. The information below is based on new agreements made with the owners as a goodwill gesture and in order to try and provide solutions for everyone affected.

NB: Although feedback from most guests so far has been extremely positive about our position with overwhelming grattitude towards our solutions, this has not always been the case. It is sometimes easy just to look at our own situation but there are a lot of people involved and affected in this process. We hope everyone can consider this as a time to come together and think of the wider implications of the crisis as a whole. Some of the terms below have had to be refined due to attempts to exploit.

May & June arrivals (up to 9th June)

Please contact us as soon as possible by email to arrange new dates.

As the current travel restrictions continue to be in place and/or flights are grounded we are offering to move any booking due to arrive in this period to later this year or early next year. We can move the bookings free of any admin charges for a period (arrival) up to 12 months (from original start date)

(start dates up to end of June being accepted on a case by case basis).

The new booking must be the same villa, of equivalent or greater value as the original and be made prior to the start date of the first stay (applicable weekly rates for new dates apply) Our Terms and Conditions apply from date of original booking (contact us for clarifications and arrangements)

If dates are not moved by date of arrival and/or balance not paid when requested, then it is deemed you have cancelled the booking and appropriate actions taken as per the terms and conditions.

All deposits are non-refundable (see summary below)

Priority will be given to those that have already made balance payments. If dates are not moved by date of arrival and/or balance not paid when requested, then it is deemed you have cancelled the booking and appropriate actions taken as per the terms and conditions.

All deposits are non-refundable (see summary below)

Arrivals from 9th-30th June

Should your origin of travel be from a country not on the initial list of permitted countries, please contact us to arrange new dates as above.

Group one of countries allowed to travel to Cyprus from 9th June is made up of Greece, Malta, Bulgaria, Norway, Austria, Finland, Slovenia, Hungary, Israel, Denmark, Germany, Slovakia and Lithuania.

Group two of countries allowed to travel to Cyprus from 20th June is made up of  Switzerland, Poland, Romania, Croatia, Estonia and Czechia.

Please check travel regulations and entry requirements directly in your own country. We cannot be responsible for providing this information.

PEAK SUMMER arrivals from UK, Russia and other countries not on the initial list (1st July onwards)

These may or may not be affected. It is still very difficult to speculate too far ahead.

Cyprus’ tourism ministers are still discussing a plan in order to welcome tourists from more countries after 20th June This will be largely based on epidemiological data from the country of origin.

We understand that quarantine/self-isolation rules have been implemented in the UK from 8th June but this could be for a short time only with a review every 3 weeks. Airports and airlines are pushing for a faster recovery. The rhetoric of UK ministers is one of caution on travel and this is of course being monitored. Ryanair intend flying from 1st July and there are a lot of other mixed messages. We all await clarity. Please also check travel advice in your own country. None of this is in our control unfortunately.

Normal terms and conditions apply at this time. Balances should be paid at time of reminder. We do not wish to cancel bookings but cannot defer balance payments. If we do offer to move bookings for this period due to severe restrictions on travel, we will only make such moves if the balance has been paid. There is no guarantee that above policies can or will be continued.

All deposits are non-refundable (see summary below)

Outwith the information above, our normal terms and conditions apply and take precedence (see below). Particular attention can of course be made to the ‘Cancellation Policy’, ‘Force Majeure’ and our Strong Recommendation for ‘Travel Insurance’ at time of booking (before the crisis and changes to policies were adopted by some insurers)

All deposits are non-refundable

We are afraid that phonecalls are very difficult to fulfil at this juncture, sorry.

**Please also note that we have to apply an administration fee of £ 35.00 for more than one date change. The first change is free but anything subsequent is £ 35.00 per change. Thank you**
