Covid 19- Corona Virus Crisis

Due to the high volume of calls and emails about this subject we are posting our current policy with regards affected bookings by the Covid 19 virus

The situation is obviously quite fluid and we understand completely the need to know about your booking going forward. It’s all very disappointing/concerning and we are closely monitoring the evolving situation and following official guidance from the relevant authorities.

Currently inbound tourism has been stopped completely until 18th April with quarantine restrictions (more serious than isolation which is not so restrictive) to 30th April. We expect the airlines will be working round this too. Cyprus is currently trying to contain the virus as much as possible with much fewer cases than many countries in the hope that solutions can be found to alleviate before escalation.

We are prioritising and handling bookings in different categories just now with the arrivals up to 30th April the most urgent

Those due to pay balances for stays in May and June (please see advice below). Early May arrivals can now be moved (see below)

Summer arrivals : We suggest seeing how the situation develops in the coming days and weeks. That should give everyone time to assess options and follow clearer directives. (further information below)

Our terms and conditions (see link below) are in line with those agreed to at time of booking and our contracts with the villa owners. The information below is based on new agreements made with the owners in order to provide fair solutions for everyone affected.

NB: Although feedback from most guests so far has been extremely positive about our position with overwhelming grattitude towards our solutions, this has not always been the case. It is sometimes easy just to look at our own situation but there are a lot of people involved and affected in this process. We hope everyone can consider this as a time to come together and think of the wider implications of the crisis as a whole

APRIL arrivals

Please contact us as soon as possible by email to arrange new dates.

As the current travel restrictions continue to be in place and/or flights are grounded we are offering to move any booking due to arrive in this period to later this year or early next year. We can move the bookings free of any admin charges for a period (arrival) up to 12 months (from original start date)(start dates up to end of April 2021 now being accepted). The new booking must be the same villa, of equivalent or greater value as the original and be made prior to the start date of the first stay (applicable weekly rates for new dates apply) (contact us for clarifications and arrangements)

MAY & JUNE arrivals where balance payment is due now or soon

We understand that many will not wish to commit to making balance payments until the situation is clearer. There are currently no travel restrictions in place for May so we will not consider moving bookings at this time ( see update below) . For balances due up to 8th April, we offer a no risk 2 week extension to the balance payment date. This may or may not be extended depending on further information and directives. All other customers should pay the balance at time of reminder.

If you have already paid the balance for a stay in May and restrictions come into force the same terms as above are likely to be offered. If you decide to cancel due to restrictions or any other reason normal terms and conditions apply with cancellation date being deemed as the date of official restrictions being announced by the Cyprus authorities (for the period of your stay) or date of official cancellation by you (whichever is earliest). We suggest waiting for further announcements meantime

Update: Bookings up to 15th May can now be moved on a case by case basis on same terms as noted under March and April

PEAK SUMMER arrivals (1st July onwards)

These may or may not be affected. We sincerely hope not but it is difficult to speculate too far ahead. Normal terms and conditions apply at this time. There is no guarantee that above policies can or will be continued.

Outwith the information above, our normal terms and conditions apply. Particular attention can of course be made to the Cancellation Policy, Force Majeure and our strong Recommendation for Travel Insurance at time of booking (before crisis and changes to policies were adopted by insurers)
