Paphos Forests

Hire a car on your holiday in Cyprus to visit Cedar Valley in Paphos Forest

Nature Lovers

A must for nature lovers, Cedar Valley in Paphos Forest is aptly named. There are over 200,000 cedars in this secluded and peaceful valley. They are the indigenous Cyprus cedar, Cedrus brevifolia, a close relative of the famous cedars of Lebanon.

Cedar Valley is not the easiest of places to find, but for that reason you almost guaranteed peace and quiet when you get there. It can be reached from Pano Panagia – a quiet and peaceful village where you can look at the birthplace of Archbishop Makarios.

Take your time, stop and admire the views. Try heading back down via Stavros tis Psokas – if you’re really lucky you might see a Moufflon, a sort of part sheep part goat indigenous to Cyprus.
