Cyprus - Paphos, Chloraka

The villa is situated within Arcadia Village, which is a private community of residential properties located in an upmarket residential area of Chloraka near the beach. The villa is only a minute's walk (100m) from the Sea and coastline, and some beautiful coves for swimming and snorkelling. The property itself, is privately set on one level and characterised by the more than apparent attention to detail inside and out, making this a luxurious home from home for any discerning villa renter.

The property which overall extends to around 250 square metres, features private driveway with gates, 3 distinct sun terraces at alternate sides of the house (follow the sun as required) (1 with remote control awning), a privately enclosed roof terrace with great views to the Mediterranean, large living areas with ample seating, contemporary kitchen with stainless steel dressings, 2 double sized bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, guest cloakroom, bathroom with shower (mains sewage), individually designed hand crafted furniture throughout, high ceilings for coolness and full use of the unusually large infinity pool (on the sea's edge) which is shared by the small number of residents in this very protected environment.

There really is too much to mention about the quality of this uniquely equipped Cyprus holiday villa.

The villa is accessed from the front by private driveway with gates double doors leading into the main living areas of the house. To the right hand side of the reception/hallway, there is the spacious lounge area with corner sofa as its centrepiece. Also included is a 40" Smart TV (with British and International Channels) and DVD player. A separate open plan seating area hosts a homely looking wood burning stove for those cooler winter evenings and adds to the modern yet traditional feel achieved by the smartly designed interior. The dining area features a solid handcrafted table and 6 chairs for dining and entertaining. The kitchen is fully equipped with Oven, Gas Hob and Extractor Hood in stainless steel, microwave, washing machine, tall fridge freezer and all necessary cutlery, utensils and crockery.

To the left of the entrance hallway, is the guest cloakroom then on to the 2 bedrooms and family bathroom. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, fitted wardrobes and patio doors, leading on to one of 3 sun terraces. The second bedroom also has patio door access to the rear sun terrace and has 2 single sized beds and fitted wardrobes. Both bedrooms have air-con units and ceiling fans for keeping cool in the summer. The Family bathroom has Bath with shower over, WC, wash hand basin and vanity units enclosing. The villa is Air Conditioned/Heated throughout with Fly Screens and Shutters to all windows. The villas water is heated by an immersion.

A supply of fresh spring water is supplied to the villa. This is located in the middle of a three way tap system, in the kitchen. A burglar alarm and other security measures have been put in place for your peace of mind.Wi-Fi is included in the rental rate.

Outside, there are 2 large sun terraces to the front. 1 is accessed from the main living area and one from the master bedroom. The former has a remote controlled awning for shade as desired. The third sun terrace is at the rear of the villa and can be accessed from the kitchen, bedroom 2 and the main reception hallway. A stone staircase to the front leads up to a large 40m2 roof terrace which is privately enclosed and enjoys magnificent sea views in most directions. This is an ideal place for sun worshippers and those who desire peace, quiet and blissful relaxation.

A very short walk from the private access to the rear of the property is the unusually large, crystal clear (shared) swimming pool with infinity edges appearing to overflow into the adjacent Mediterranean Sea. The pool is in 2 sections designed for adults and children alike. Arcadia village is gated and therefore protected from visitors with only a small number of villas having access to same.

"Thanks for this mail and your later message regarding the deposit return. We had a good stay at Villa Zephyrus; it is in a good location and very well equipped shame the weather was not typical for the first week of May. I have responded to your request for feedback below, sorry in not replying sooner but this week has been a bit hectic. Thanks again for your promptness in handling all of the booking stages.

The villa was Very spacious for 2 lovely choice of sitting areas to take advantage of Sun or avoid it as you wish. Well equipped to allow extensive self catering if required. Very good location in a peaceful development but close to all amenities. A hire car is recommended so that other areas of the Paphos region can be explored. Y&P hotel and restaurant in Latchi (Polis) excellant for fresh fish lunch. Very satisfied with the promptness of response to all aspects of the booking. Very happy to use service provided again. Excellant contact with local managers who were very happy to help with any issues.''

"The villa was clean and well presented. The location was really good and totally as stated and expected... The pool was fantastic and location by the sea was brilliant. We didn't go far as it was a total chill out holiday and had friends staying there that had been lots of times. Well satisfied by the service receive, any problems or questions we had were dealt with promptly.''

"Very nice villa, well equiped and very clean. Location was ideal for us as we know the area well. 'Ficardos' is a super little resturant near the Aloe Hotel, and the spring of life near the village 'Nata'. Very good communication from all. Very pleased.''

"The villa was great, as described, and very clean and tidy throughout. The location was quiet, which is what we wanted. There was a hotel nearby but that was quiet. Sea Caves was a nice quiet beach with few other tourists, just locals. I would recommend Scuba Diving with Marine Divers in Coral Bay and horseriding with Ride in Cyprus. I was very satisfied with the service you provided. I was very satisfied with the local managers who were friendly and helpful''

"The villa is absolutely lovely, spacious clean and private with everything we needed for our 2 week stay. We really appreciated the welcome pack after a long trip arriving quite late. The poolside view is to die for, and the pool itself provided hours of fun for our 10 year old son. Ray and Norma were extremely friendly, helpful and obliging.''

''The property was great, plenty of room and everything was working/clean and tidy. Just a very few steps from the pool but very quiet. The location was close to everything but also quiet enough but I would recommend a car. People around the pool seem to come back year after year so they knew places to go etc. Not much to walk to in the way of restaurants but we did visit the local bar for a beer and chips lunch. We found 2 superb restaurants but they were both a little bit of a drive and had been recommended to us. Imogens in Kathikas and Viklari at Avakas Gorge. Non were bad though, just they were the best. We actually enjoyed the small beach at Agios Georgios and also a small bay just before coral bay. We found coral bay itself too touristy an busy. We can have no complaints with the service your provided. I hope this helps''.

"Perfectly situated 100 yards from the sea, the villa’s location was ideal. We used the shipwreck as our landmark. The villa surpassed our expectations. The décor was fresh and modern. The furniture was comfortable and the quality bedding and linen were tastefully coordinated. We loved the Mediterranean colours and the kitchen was well equipped. We spent lots of time outside in the outdoor areas: back garden, front garden with gas barbeque and roof terrace. The plants were resplendent; the sunsets were spectacular.

Our two teenage boys had the pool to themselves for the week. Surprisingly the pool was not too cold even in October. There was a nearby tennis court for free and other facilities close by. The owner’s information guide was excellent and there were lots of extras- welcome pack, CD player with range of discs, alarm clock, DVDs, hairdryer etc. I would thoroughly recommend this villa. It was excellent value for money.''

"Villa Zephyrus really did exceed our expectations! It was immaculate upon arrival with a lovely pool just a minutes walk from the back terrace! Its in a quiet residential area with extremely friendly residents. Just a couple of minutes in the car from some lovely restaurants and so easy to get to Paphos Harbour (5 minutes) and Coral Bay (10 miniutes). If ever we go to Cyprus again we would definitely go back there!"

"Property was exactly as described, well stocked and immaculately clean. The welcome pack was generous and very welcome! Had a minor problem with the aircon which was fixed very promptly, very kind and pleasant property managers. The villa isnt right next to the pool but that wasnt a problem at all."

"Home from home in the sunshine. We had a car but you dont really need one as there are quite a few good bars and restaurants in the immediate area and if you are up to it even more approx 15-20 minutes in either direction. This is enjoyable on a warm evening. Only 100m from the Sea and the pool area was quiet with plenty space to be away from the few other people who were around it. Highly recommended."

"The property feels brand new, is tastefully furnished with every facility you require and makes an excellent base. The roof terrace in particular is well placed to ensure you can enjoy the afternoon sun. Access to a vehicle is recommended to facilitate travel to Paphos (nice harbour) and Coral Bay, each 10 min drive away. The Fish restaurant at the Thalassa Hotel Coral Bay is well worth a visit, expensive but good value."

"Firstly let me say that the villa was superb and I would like to write a trip advisor for it if you can advise me where to find this on your web site. The weather was great and whilst in March the pool was still a little chilly, the setting next to the sea was amazing and in summer it must be a dream. I agree that the standard of furnishings are not typical of a holiday villa and someone has gone to a lot of trouble and expense to make it so comfortable. Thank you very much."

The village of Chloraka is one of the biggest villages in the area, and ideally situated between Paphos and Coral Bay. It is spread over a large area and 2 distinct sides. The upper part is where many traditional and modern shops, restaurants, bars and amenities are located, the lower part (where Villa Zephyrus is located) is much more residential, peaceful and serene with the beach and Sea close by and many large luxurious properties scattered throughout. The local Hotel (Akti) (800m) provides some good amenities to the area with restaurant, mini-market and a bar with Sky TV. There is also the newly improved Bar Dimma (250m) for meals, snacks and drinks which has both indoor and outdoor seating, a swimming pool and Sky TV also.

A 5 minute walk brings you to the renowned Pentaras Taverna which has been built recently and provides succulent Cypriot cuisine at its very best.A marooned shipwreck provides an interesting landmark in this area and when walking along the beach at dusk, the sun can sometimes set directly behind the shipwreck creating a very dramatic scene which would not be out of place in a Hollywood movie. The tourist areas of both Paphos and Coral Bay are about 10 minutes away by car in either direction, the latter having the beautiful Coral Bay Beach, a beach suitable for all the family as well as a diverse range of bars, restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes. A regular bus service is available at the main road. A newly laid coastal path allows pleasant walking in either direction towards Paphos harbour to the East and Coral Bay to the West. There are many hotel bars and cafes along the way.
